Craig Stephens was living a comfortable middle class life when God planted a dream in his heart. As a result he and his wife quit their jobs, sold their house, gave all their money away and moved into Ivanhoe, a social housing development in Ryde, Sydney. Together with his friend Greig Whittaker, Craig shares the remarkable story of what God did at Ivanhoe, bringing transformation to a community.
Mark Schultz is the convener of the Vertical Villages projects on behalf of the Together for Ryde pastors' network. Vertical Villages is a paradigm shifting initiative which brings the church in contact with civic leaders, property developers and the general community in a bid to create residential spaces that are conducive to strong community. In the rapidly urbanising and multicultural area of Ryde in Sydney, this is an urgent task and an opportunity for the church. Vertical Villages also hopes to place christians in these housing estates as "professional neighbours" to facilitate community and live out the gospel.

Juliet Ballinger, founder and executive officer of Eva's Place, a pregnancy support centre in Queensland, shares her story of establishing the ministry and how volunteers from many different church denominations and theological traditions unite together to carry out the mission of serving pregnant women in their community.
Rick Prosser interviews Kevin Palau, President and CEO of the Luis Palau Association. Kevin joined LPA in 1985 and began directing the day-to-day operation of the ministry in the late 1990s. Under his leadership, LPA has united tens of thousands of churches in hundreds of cities to love and serve their communities and clearly share the Good News of Jesus. In 2001, the Times newspaper published a survey revealing that Stoke on Trent was the worst place in the UK to live. This was a wake up call to the church of that city to begin to pray together and work together for the good of the community. Craig Sider enjoys helping leaders and organizations live with purpose. As President of The New York City Leadership Center he motivates leaders to impact their cities for Christ. Craig’s lifelong desire has been to reach people for Christ. In 1985, he served as founding pastor of The Meeting House in Oakville, Ontario. He and his wife, Laura, worked to build a vibrant community committed to sharing Christ’s message. Beginning in 1996, Craig served as bishop in the Brethren in Christ Church U.S., a responsibility he held until early 2009. He also served as a Team Leader in Brethren in Christ / Canada, where he was responsible for church development. In 2013, Craig joined The New York City Leadership Center as President, where Craig focuses on identifying, developing and maximizing leadership skills in others. Following a degree in Business Administration/Economics from Brock University, Craig completed a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary and a doctorate in leadership development from Denver Seminary.
Wendy is a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and campaigner. She has held managerial positions at Griffith University and Queensland Baptists and is currently Queensland and Northern Territory Director of the Australian Christian Lobby. For 8 years she was Executive Producer of the Lord Mayor’s Carols in Brisbane. In 2012 she co-authored a book THE GREENS Policies, Reality and Consequences published by ConnorCourt. In 2019 she is publishing two children’s books.
Peter McHugh is the founding, and current pastor of Stairway Church in Melbourne, Victoria. He is highly regarded both nationally and internationally, for his love for the Body of Christ and in particular, his heart for Pastors. He has become a spiritual father to many, walking with leaders and speaking life into their communities. Peter is passionately committed to the unity of the church in the city of Melbourne based on his understanding of Jesus' prayer in John 17, and for the body of Christ in a city to recognised it's 'reconciled diversity.'
James Condon has served the Kingdom of Jesus through the Salvation Army since his initial encounter with Jesus 52 years ago. He has served locally in churches, as well as leading nationally as the head of the denomination, been on college faculty, and travelled the world. A city gospel movement sees all Christians in a city united towards the flourishing of the city. This requires engagement across the spheres, not just the local church. David Balestri is a pastor and marketplace leader. Roger Sutton founded and leads the Gather movement, a network of over 130 city gospel movements across the UK. Roger, alongside his wife Lesley, directed Movement Day UK held in London in October 2017 which drew together over 1,000 leaders from all denominations and spheres of life, which has resulted in 10 cities across the UK making plans to launch their own expressions of Movement Day.
In response to millennials being labeled noncommittal, cynical, entitled, slacktivists, Grant Skeldon started Initiative Network in order to shift the culture of Dallas by training millennials to be Christ-loving, city-changing, church-investing, disciple-making, local missionaries. Initiative has impacted thousands of young leaders from over 540 different churches across the metroplex. Grant has traveled the world, speaking to thousands of pastors, parents, and business leaders on the topic of engaging and empowering millennials. His book, The Passion Generation, has been a bestseller in multiple categories. Grant serves on the advisory boards for Harvest America in Dallas and Movement Day. He is a member at Mercy Street Church, a multicultural, urban church plant in West Dallas.
James Kelly, the Founder and Director of FaithTech, is an entrepreneur turned pastor turned story-teller. With a unique background in business (co-founded a faith-based media company at 19 years of age, BComm and 7 years experience in professional recruitment) and church (MDiv and helped plant a church in 2012), he’s positioned to creatively bridge the gap between faith and tech. FaithTech, a growing movement pioneering new ways to advance the gospel in a new era driven by technology, started with an idea in late 2015 and has turned into a global ministry, with operations across North America in Silicon Valley, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver, and Waterloo.
Mac Pier is the founder and CEO of Movement.Org and was instrumental in founding the inaugural Movement Day conference. He was on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship before founding Concerts of Prayer, Greater New York, a collaborative prayer initiative connecting pastors and churches throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Rob Kelly serves as the founding President and CEO of the For Charlotte Mission Network. In this role, Rob is the primary directional leader of Movement Day Charlotte, the lead author of the Charlotte State of the City Report and architect of the For Charlotte network platform. Prior to this, Rob served 13 years as a pastor, along with numerous other leadership positions, including co-founding CHARLOTTE/ONE.
Rev. Adam Durso is Executive Director of LEAD.NYC, a division of Movement.Org. For more than 20 years he has been a church pastor in his beloved New York City, while also finding time to speak in churches and conferences around the globe. A powerful thread runs through all of Adam’s work – a calling to connect with and have a powerful impact on people at all levels of society, especially youth, through various ministries and platforms, including social media. He serves on both the New York Mayor’s Clergy Advisory Council and on the ministerial team at The Christian Cultural Center under the pastoral leadership of Dr. A.R. Bernard.
If we are to see a gospel movement in our city, the whole church needs to be equipped, released, and sent to serve in their sphere of influence.
